A US company, Phad communications announced a advertisement based free long distance phone service. As you may know, calling across US states is not FREE unless its covered under your home phone service plans. Phad communications leverages on this and offers this long distance calls service. They would first only offer calls to any US Number from a US number and later plan to extend the service to call mexico.



How can i use this free long distance service.

You need to call their access number 1-800-980-PHAD (7423), or 1-800-981-PHAD (7423) for Spanish, enter a destination number and listen to up to 30 seconds of audio commercial messages. Its best to dial a toll-free number from your residential phone line because cell phone carriers might charge for toll-free calls.

How long can i talk with 1-800-980-PHAD ?
When you are done listening to the advertisement. PHAD will automatically give you a 10 minutes talktime credit for that call and you can talk for upto 10 minutes. The call will disconnect after 10 minutes but you can repeat the procedure again for a new call.

Phad uses your area code and exchange of the originating call and inserts an appropriate audio advertisement. You can use Skype / Yahoo Messenger for making calls to 1-800-980-PHAD.

The call will be automatically placed to the desired number. The operator prompts your call is getting connected. Once connected you can talk for upto 5 minutes and then your call is disconnected.

If you live outside of USA. You can use the following techniques.

The best however is Yahoo Messenger-Voice. Yes, not many people know that Yahoo Voice can be used to make unlimited toll-free calls to any toll-free number in USA from anywhere in the world and you do not need a yahoo voice paid account.
