Most SmartPhones now have a Video Recording capability giving everyone a option to not just take photos but also record beautiful videos which can later be easily shared with others. Now lets say you are out of your city with your SmartPhone like Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S and a Netbook or iPad, then its hard to sync and transfer the videos you have recorded to share with your friends.
In this article we will show you how you can easily share your favorite videos with your friends and family directly through the emailing option. In all the latest mobile phones there is a option to share the media which includes Photos and Video files and Youtube supports the option to uploading emails when sent to a specific email address.
Hence in order to get access to this option and configure it first, you will have to access the Youtube website and login to your account. Next visit this link > http://www.youtube.com/account?feature=mhsn#mobile and click on the Account Settings > Mobile Setup or else directly visit the http://www.youtube.com/mobile page and the email address would be listed there. Here you will get a unique email address shown which should be added to your Mobile Phone as a contact, may be with a name ‘Youtube’. If you need a change in the unique email address listed there you will have to click on the ‘Want a different address? Click Here’ option. Once you have noted down all this information you should proceed with the next step of emailing the video.
In this article we will show you how to perform this task using the Apple iPhone. Tap on the Photos App and select the video you would like to upload to youtube. Next Tap on the selected video and select the ‘Email Video’ option. You will get a screen as shown below.
Next you the application will start compressing the video to make sure that the web upload is not going to take much time and also wont use much of your uploads bandwidth.
Once the compression is completed you will get a Email Compose asking you to enter the ‘To’ details along with information like Subject and ‘From’ etc. Once this step is also performed the video would be directly Published from your YouTube account.
Currently this feature is available with Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Nokia S60, Windows and few other mobile phones based on the above OS or devices.
Uploading your videos is not going to cost you, but make sure that you are on a unlimited upload or download plan because when you upload these videos, your Cellular Network carrier would charge you for the data transfer. Hence you will have to make sure that the data plan you are currently in should be able to handle this bandwidth usage. If you have more doubts on this you should read a article on Youtube Bandwidth Usage
Note : You should always upload videos which were actually taken by you and make sure you never upload videos which has content recorded by others because that could lead to copyright issues.
